Nature & Wildlife

The place where one-on-one interaction is the norm, not the exception – come and meet the locals we share our home with.

For marine lovers, the Eyre Peninsula doesn’t get much better. Cuttlefish, dolphins, seals, sea lions, sharks, sea dragons, whales – we’ve got it all. You can swim with them, observe them, dive with them, or sit safe and sound behind bars in a cage-dive.

And each year, between May and October, the Bunda Cliffs on the Nullarbor Plain coastline becomes a free-range crèche for Southern Right Whales. Pack your binoculars and a picnic lunch and while away the hours watching these amazing creatures frolic in the water.

Take a safari in the Gawler Ranges (or one of our other national parks, for that matter) and spot all kinds of Australian wildlife – wombats, emus, kangaroos and more – or check out the only wild population of kangaroos in the region just a short drive from Port Lincoln.

Your wildlife experiences on the Eyre Peninsula will definitely stay with you long after you’ve gone.
